Facebook has overtaken MySpace in terms of the amount of users who have signed up to its services, making it the biggest social networking site in the world.
Around 132 million people are now members of Facebook, after the amount of users it had increased by 153 per cent between June 2007 and June 2008.
According to a research report by Carnegie Mellon University, the number of US users grew by healthy 38 percent during the same period, while the number of MySpace users only grew by three percent.
MySpace still offers more music-related services than Facebook, although it is rumored that new Facebook functions to increase the amount of music available on the site are being planned.
