Not only did Chris Martin and his band Coldplay take the Billboard number one spot again this week, but they also topped another record. The British band's fourth album, Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, has surpassed all previous download records in just two weeks since it's release with a total of 354,000 downloads.
The previous record holder was John Mayer's Continuum which has gained 353,000 downloads since September 2006.
With Mr Brian Eno producing this latest album, I think this is worth getting the full CD package and despite downloads being super convenient, I'm off to the Virgin Megastore to browse around, get the CD along with all the liner notes.
I guess, in this respect, I'm 'old school.'
