After pleading guilty to two counts of conspiracy to and money laundering, Lou Pearlman, the man behind the 1990's boy-wonder bands is going to meet some other back street boys and do some hard time in federal prison.
Many of the victims were elderly retirees and even family members fell for his financial scams that span several decades.
The judge in a packed courtroom did say however that he would reduce the sentence by a month for ever million dollars that Pearlman gives back to the people he has scammed. As to how this would be worked out remains to be seen.
In a statement to the court Pearlman had regretted his actions and "apologized for what's happened."
His financial situation has suffered from many other lawsuits which have prevented him from paying back more of the money. He claims to have already paid back $103 million.
The term backstreet boys will bring on an entirely new dimension once Lou arrives at the big house, maybe his next boy-band should be called N'Clink ?
