Microsoft on Tuesday released a fix that makes software on its Zune MP3 player compatible with Windows Vista.
The firmware update, Zune version 1.2, is available for download at Zune.net, according to Microsoft’s Zune Inside blog.
Microsoft released Zune in November, but the MP3 player wasn’t compatible with Vista. The company said it would make an update available in time for Vista’s consumer release in January 2007.
It seems a little odd that Microsoft would launch its first MP3 player unable to work with its newest operating system.
