It looks like Nintendo is dabbling in hotels again, though this time it’s much more family-friendly.

Hotel chain Marriott announced Tuesday that it has partnered with Nintendo to offer “Wii guest rooms” in select hotels–a departure from Nintendo’s early history, as diehard Nintendo fans may know, when the company briefly ran a "love hotel" business before it entered the video game industry.

The rooms will offer a Nintendo Wii, along with 20 games, including Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Fit, and Wii Sports.

The games are offered through a games menu, so guests don’t have to worry about checking out physical discs and the hotels don’t need to worry about theft or destruction.

The systems are offered at the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront, Bethesda Marriott Suites, Boston Marriott Cambridge, JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, New York Marriott Marquis, and Renaissance New York Hotel Times Square.

Guests interested in booking a Wii guest room will have to enter the promotional code “XY0” (that’s a zero, not a letter O) at one of the participating hotels. The range of rooms offered will have unlimited access to the Wii and the games.

Some hotels will also sweeten the deal by offering a basket of treats upon check-in.

With the Nintendo Wii still selling well, this may be the only opportunity for some people to play the elusive white console. The offer will continue through the end of October.
