Video game developer Robomodo on Wednesday announced a development agreement with Activision.
Formed in January, Robomodo will work on one of games publisher Activision’s titles.
Robomodo was founded by Josh Tsui, David Michicich, Nick Ehrlich, Peter Sauerbrei, and Richard Ho after EA Chicago--where the five worked--closed.
"It was very important for Robomodo to start out with a high-profile triple-A project," said Robomodo CEO Josh Tsui. "This does not mean we would not work on smaller titles eventually, but with first impressions being very important in the industry we wanted to make sure we came out big."
The founders have worked on such big-name games as the Mortal Kombat series, FinalNight Round 3, and Def Jam ICON.
The company’s mission is “doing it right” when it comes to game development, which they'll apply to their experience with fighting games before moving on.
"Once we have our foundation in place and we have a couple of games under our belts," Mr. Tsui said, "we can then start moving into other territories."
