Good news hit the 3 million-plus iPhone 3G owners who have been relentlessly complaining about their new shiny devices’ various glitches.

The Boy Genius Report announced that updates arrived Monday at 5 p.m. EST through iTunes. The 2.0.2 firmware update will be available to users next time they plug the smart phone to their computer.

“With any luck the upcoming update will resolve the 'issues' Steve Jobs referred to in his one-liner and all will be right again in the world,” the report said.

It is unclear if the update, referred to by Apple as "bug fixes" will take care of the iPhone 3G’s reception problems–many users have complained of a high number of dropped calls.

The report also confirmed rumors that AT&T stores will be receiving iPhone 3G shipments on Tuesday, after weeks of empty stock.
