Fiscal 2008
SCi Entertainment, a UK-based video game publisher and parent company of Eidos Interactive, reported Monday a $178 million loss on $214 million in revenue for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008.
That compares with a $24 million loss on $232 million in revenue for the fiscal year 2007.
SCi said the loss is “within market expectations” due to the transitory state of the company, according to a report at the London Stock Exchange’s Regulatory News Service.
The games company isn't sitting still. The company is undergoing a restructuring that includes slashing operation costs and parachuting in fresh executives.
The company brought in Phil Rogers as chief executive and Robert Brent as chief financial officer and is shifting its focus to key franchises such as Tomb Raider, Hitman, Deus Ex, Kane & Lynch, and Just Cause.
SCi fell $0.90 to $59 in trading on the London Stock Exchange.
