One of the biggest challenges facing mobile TV is screen size—enjoying any type of multimedia experience on a display only a few inches across isn’t exactly easy. Redmond, Washington-based Microvision thinks it has a solution, which is plenty small in its own right. The company’s new miniature projector for portable devices promises to deliver a large screen viewing experience inside a tiny package. Slightly larger than a piece of chocolate mint candy, Microvision said its 8 millimeter-long projector (pictured) allows viewing of photos and videos in a multitude of different sizes. The company didn’t offer pricing and availability details for the device, but plans to use CES as a place to meet with electronics manufacturers about ways to include it in mobile phones and other portable hardware.
