Artificial intelligence (AI) may not have lived up to the visions of Sci-Fi geeks, but it has gone underground into a lot of day-to-day systems. Many people think of AI as a high-flying 1980s tech concept that crashed and burned back in the early 1990s after a good deal of hype. The fact is, AI technology has become pervasive in much of the software we use today.
