SUNDAY, JUNE 19 BIO 2005The largest biotech event of the year will be happening in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, hosted by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO). About 18,000 executives, investors, and scientists are expected to be at the annual event. Many of those will hail from nearly 1,100 biotechnology companies and organizations from across 32 countries. Sunday is devoted to international biotech issues, and Monday’s first plenary session will discuss the 25th anniversary of the Bayh-Dole Act, which has promoted the transfer of NIH-sponsored research to small businesses and universities.
